Chaos At Crusty Towers was an afternoon play performed to show off different pupils talents. It was also tied in as a leaving present for Ann Burdett who retired after spending ten years at the school.

This photo was taken at the front of the school where the car park is in the present day. The gentleman standing with his arms behind his back is Mr.Cadle, the headmaster at that time. The street ‘Cadle Street’ was subsequently named after him. You can see in the distance the corner of the first houses of Preston Drive.
The girl closest to camera with the hat on is Christine Tovey, now Christine Cawrey. In the distance there are two ladies talking, the one with the headscarf is Violet Tovey.
